All Ears #1 . . . Hnny

The purpose of the All Ears playlists are to introduce you to tracks that may have slipped under your radar. Each week we will showcase a different artist to make sure that all of their music is deservedly getting appreciated in its entirety.

The first All Ears playlist is from Swedish house music extraordinaire Hnny

Alice Russell - Hurry On Now (FKJ Remix)

The day that FKJ produces a track that is anything less than a work of art is the same day that you'd pinch yourself and it'd all be just a dream. As he states in the track description, he completley fell in love with the Alice Russell vocal, and now in turn we're falling head over heels for his interpretation of it. It's a fairly stripped back affair, letting the vocals do a lot of the work while constantly bubbling with plenty of that trademark FKJ funk. It really is a beautiful track from start to finish, have a listen for yourself.

You can catch FKJ alongside Mele at dollop presents on Tuesday 27th May, 2014.

Clean Bandit feat. Sharna Bass - Extraordinary (Bontan Remix)

Having already brought us 'Move On Out', and remixed the likes of Faul, Mark Knight, Pleasurekraft and Nice7 to name but a few, Bontan is back with a fresh new remix of 'Extraordinary' by Clean Bandit.

The remix is insatiably catchy, something you can often expect from his tracks, with perfectly sliced up vocals over the top of a signature Bontan bassline. Judging by the talented producer and DJ's Soundcloud output, there is no doubt that there will be a number of other productions in the pipeline and we're sure 2014 will be another huge year for him.

You can catch Bontan playing at Fairlight alongside Amine Edge & Dance later this month. You can also catch Clean Bandit playing at No Tomorrow festival alongside London Grammar, Duke Dumont and many more.

Lazlo Dancehall - Plimpton (George FitzGerald remix)

Fresh from the success of 'Magnetic' and 'Bad Aura', George FitzGerald is back with an equally dark and atmospheric remix of 'Plimpton' by Lazlo Dancehall. It's FitzGerald at his best, a deep ominous bassline complimented by sharp crisp synth keys that give the track a real sense of unexpected euphoria. You can catch George FitzGerald playing alongside Dusky and Lunice at our very special dollop 10th Birthday event next month.

The Temptations - Cloud Nine (FKJ Remix)

After remixing tracks by the likes of William De Vaughn, Cherokee and Bondax, the remarkably talented FKJ has worked his magic touch over 'Cloud Nine' by The Temptations. Despite being a much higher tempo than his usual productions, the track is still brimming with plenty of the soul and groove that we have come to expect from the Frenchman. The beautifully cut up vocals are extraordinary and it's no surprise at all that its already racked up nearly half a million plays on soundcloud. You can catch FKJ performing alongside bass connoisseur Mele at dollop later this month.

It's also up for free download!

Amine Edge & Dance - Gangstercast 21

Amine Edge & Dance are back with the latest instalment of their Gangstercast series, two straight hours of deep funky basslines and soulful vocal hooks. You can catch Amine Edge & Dance headlining Fairlight on Friday 30th May, 2014.

Head over to the Facebook event for more info.

Cause & Affect - Operation 60 EP

'Operation 60' is the latest EP to come from UK Bass outifit Cause & Affect. Released on Bullet Train Records, both tracks are filled with plenty of the weighty bass and tight percussion that we have come to expect from the talented duo. 'Dreams' is a straight up bass led stomper of a track while 'Ridonkulous', which was featured as a 'Free Music Monday' track by Annie Mac, is more of a jackin house style affair with an irresistable bouncy bassline. You can catch Chris Lorenzo, who is one half of Cause & Affect, at 51°27′ alongside the mighty Woz on Friday 9th March, 2014.
